OurViews operates and owns the website [www.OurViews.com] and related mobile application (both referred to as the “Platform”). OurViews is committed to protecting your personal information by adhering to applicable laws on the protection of personal data, including their amendments and executive regulations, (the “Legal Framework”). Several entities (all of which are affiliates, referred to herein as “us”, “we”, “our”, or “OurViews”) are underlying OurViews; each entity, depending on where you are located, will be qualified as your “controller”. As a controller, each entity will decide on the scope of the collection and processing of your personal data, in other words, why and how this data will be processed. If you are based in the United Arab Emirates and you decide to become a member or a panelist of OurViews, Macro Media Services FZ-LLC will be your controller.

Personal Data collection and protection:
Upon the creation of your account, we will collect personal data such as your first name, your last name, your date of birth, your gender, your e-mail, your mobile number and your address. Furthermore, other personal data such as, without limitation, bracket of monthly or yearly income, hobbies, bracket of number of children, or education level may be collected. This will allow us to identify you each time you log in, administer your account and better serve you with appropriate surveys on the Platform by sending you those we think might interest you.
Upon participation to our survey, we collect your opinions, comments and answers to produce aggregate and anonymous research studies for our clients, and create articles and white papers.
Upon redeeming your points, we collect your full name, email address, physical address, and we may ask for a verification of identification. Same applies upon your participation to our monthly prize draws. This will allow us to send you your prize gift without committing any confusion with another panelist.
If, during a survey, you are asked a question, the answer to which will give us “sensitive” data on you, we will treat such data in accordance with applicable laws and give you the reasons why and how we are collecting those sensitive data and request from you additional consent before collecting it.
Please note that, in general, your personal data will be collected and used to provide you with our services, grant you access to your dashboard by verifying your identity, address your questions and complaints, communicate with you our promotions, special offers or any other news relevant to your account, as well as to include you in our monthly draws should you wish to participate in them and extend to you any prize draw or any gift in general when due.
Your personal data will not be processed in a manner inconsistent with the purpose of its collection or in cases other than those provided for in Articles 4 and 5 of the Federal Decree-Law No. 45/2021 on the Protection of Personal Data in the UAE.
Unless you use your right to erasure or deletion, we retain your data for as long as it is needed to satisfy our contractual obligations with you, this means for as long as you are a member of our panel – unless there is a legal justification that requires retaining it for a specific period, in which case it shall be destroyed at the end of this period or after the completion of the purpose of its collection, whichever is longer, or unless your identity as Data Subject is anonymized using the “Anonymization” feature. If the personal data is closely related to a case being heard before a judicial authority and its retention is required for this purpose, in which case it shall be destroyed after the completion of the judicial proceedings related to the case.
Please note that not giving consent to use your personal data or withdrawing such consent will affect your ability to use the Platform.
Your personal information is collected using Webforms upon your decision and action to be part of the OurViews family. The data will be stored and processed as long as you are a panelist. If your account is inactive for a period exceeding 12 months, your account will be terminated and all personal information related to your account shall be deleted, unless we have a legitimate reason to keep such information with us (such as any dispute or lawsuit pending between us).
Consent:
By accepting our terms and conditions you give us consent to process your personal data. By giving us your consent to process your personal data, you also give us consent to share it with different affiliates of the group, if for example, a client of an affiliate wishes to conduct a research in a jurisdiction where you reside. In order to fulfill our contract with you, we may need to share your personal data with our service providers such as the e-voucher service providers, the cloud service provider, or our technologies services providers. Your consent can be documented by the company, and the company shall ask your consent for each processing purpose.
Sometimes, the company may process your personal data based on its legitimate interest provided that (i) there is a balance between your rights and interests and the legitimate interest of the company, and (ii) the processing does not include sensitive data but shall be within your reasonable expectations.
The data subject withholds the right to easily withdraw consent, update personal information, and unsubscribe from the account at any time. At any stage, you also have the right to be informed and to access your personal data, stop the processing of your personal data, or request its erasure.
International Transfers:
In principle, we shall not transfer outside of the UAE your personal information. If, for any reason whatsoever, we are bound to do so, we shall abide by the provisions of article 23 of the UAE Federal Law no. 45/2021. We commit to apply any data transfers legal standards and to comply with the relevant authorities requirements.
Obligations:
The company will take all appropriate technical and organizational procedures to maintain the protection and privacy of the personal data that is collected. Furthermore, the settings of the platform will ensure that the data is used for the sole purposes outlined in the consent form.
In case of any infringement of breach of the Personal Data of the Data subject that could endanger the privacy, confidentiality, and security of the aforementioned, you will be made aware of the breach without undue delay. We shall notify the competent authorities within the timeline prescribed by the Decree Law no. 45/2021 and in any case in a timely manner. The data subject will be alerted of the process taken therein to ensure the continued security of the data subject.
Furthermore, if needed a data protection officer will be appointed by OurViews.
The Data Protection Officer (the “DPO”) will be under the obligation of ensuring that OurViews and its processors adhere by the Legal Framework. The DPO will verify the quality and validity of the procedures adopted, receive requests and complaints from data subjects and address them, and consult on the systems established by the company and its processors, also acting as a liaison between both parties.
You may file a complaint in cases where you have reason to believe that there has been a violation of set provisions that may affect the privacy of your personal data. You may submit a written grievance directly to OurViews or to OurView’s DPO.
Your Rights as a Data Subject:
You have the right to be informed (including what information shall be provided by the company to you and how), the right to access your personal data, the right to rectify it, the right to request erasure or deletion. You also have the right to transfer your personal data. By contacting us on [email protected] you can exercise these rights. We will endeavour to reply to you in a timely manner.
Any request sent by you shall be addressed within a period of thirty days that can be extended up to an additional thirty days if the response requires disproportionate effort or if the company has received multiple requests from the data subject.
Personal data protection:
The company will establish and implement measures in accordance with the best international standards and practices in order to obtain the most achievable information security levels. Measures will include, but not be limited to; the pseudonymization of data, testing of organizational measures to ensure efficiency of followed protocols, and applications of procedures that ensure the timely retrieval of personal data in the event of any physical or technical failure.
